Maxine Brown
Maxine is a styling professional with four decades of experience. Trained in California and Nevada schools and salons, Maxine continues advanced education throughout the year. While staying current, she also is known as an artist in the traditional shampoo and set. Her past celebrity clients have included legendary singer Brenda Lee. “I love making my customers beautiful!” said Maxine.
Kay Collins
Kay has been a leader in northern Nevada styling circles for more than 40 years and is a past president of the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology. She served on the Interstate Council of State Cosmetology Boards and continues to serve as a subject matter expert for the Council’s cosmetology test required in more than 40 states, Guam and Puerto Rico. Kay is a color and perm specialist and stays current with classes. Kay’s clients enjoy her work so much that they refer their entire families, sometimes spanning three generations!
Kathryn Giannini
Educated in Utah and California, Kathryn has been making her customers feel good about themselves for more than 20 years. She enjoys every aspect of styling hair. “Salon 2000 is a fun place to work!” she said.
Linda Packer Hagar
Linda is known as a positive person who truly caters to each individual. With four decades of experience, her specialties include long layered looks, razor and point cuts, color and perms. Linda also has many male customers who like her styling as well as her knowledge of golf. Her celebrity clients include Supreme Court Justice Jim Hardesty and other political notables in northern Nevada. Linda’s clients appreciate her availability at all times for making or changing appointments via her mobile phone. “My reward is making people walk away satisfied and uplifted,” she said.
Yvonne Lee
Yvonne received her education and began styling hair in Idaho, and her career over the past two decades has included salon ownership. Her focus is making customers happy with colors, weaves and permanents. Yvonne is proud of her versatility in styling, catering to all ages and needs. “What I like best about my work is the opportunity to turn a bad hair day into a feel-good day, to make someone shine!” she said.
Carina Lum
Customers love Carina’s charming Swedish accent. She received her training in Europe before moving to the U.S. in 1994. Carina specializes in color and weaves and receives raves for her prom and wedding styling. “I enjoy making people look and feel better about themselves!” she said.
Carla Morris
Carla is known as a talented all-around stylist who loves every aspect of her work. With more than 30 years’ experience, Carla gives her customers advice that they trust. “I know that I can turn a bad hair day around, and when my customers look in the mirror, they like what they see,” she said. “I enjoy working in a full-service salon where a number of us have worked together for 20 years or more – and that says a lot!”
Michelle Parsons
Michelle is a 2008 graduate of the Marinello School of Beauty in Reno. She is adept in the latest techniques in haircuts and color and feels that nothing is more rewarding than making someone feel beautiful. “It’s always been important for me to reflect what someone feels on the inside by bringing that beauty to the surface,” she said. She also believes that style must fit lifestyle. “I believe in enhancing the beauty that each individual already possesses and adapting that style and look to fit her life.”
Debbie Stewart
A beauty professional with more than 20 years’ experience, Debbie’s passion is haircutting and styling. She was trained and worked in the Bay area before relocating to northern Nevada and has been with Salon 2000 since 2008. “Working with people is what I love most about my career as a stylist,” Debbie said. “My clients become good friends – they’re all stars to me!”
